Love Island Australia 2022‘s Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd have been forced to address their breakup AGAIN after rekindling their romance.
After returning during the fourth season’s “Ex Week”, the 2021 winners found it in themselves to give their relationship another shot. But alas, it was short-lived, with the duo revealing after their elimination that it was dunzo for a second time.
However, it seems news of their split fell through the cracks, with Tina and Mitch taking to the ‘gram after “a lot of rumours” spread about the state of their recoupling.
Posting to his Story in late December, Mitch said he wanted to “clarify a few things so we can put to bed any speculation [fans] may have”.
“As you all know the show this year was pre recorded and currently both Tina and I are not dating,” he penned.
The 26-year-old continued by outlining that he and Tina “continued to see each other for multiple months” after returning from Spain.
“We were flying back and fourth [sic] between Sydney and Melbourne and obviously there was a lot of challenge as no one could know what was going on.”
Mitch added that the long-distance relationship was “challenging” and in turn, “put a lot of pressure” on the couple.

Despite their second split (the first being in February 2022), the footballer said he’s grateful to still “be in each others [sic] lives in some capacity”.
“Since [the show] we have even caught up and watched an episode or two [of Love Island] together.” AW!
Mitch added: “I didn’t feel that right now Tina could get my 110%. And because of that we made the mature and right decision to go our separate ways.”
He then thanked fans for “all the support” and admitted that he “probably won’t speak” about the breakup again.

Similarly addressing the breakup on her Story, Tina said there were a lot of “assumptions” about whether she and Mitch called it quits right after leaving the villa.
Stating this “is not true at all”, the 26-year-old said she doesn’t “need to explain [her] relationship”. However, she felt compelled to put a stop to questions about it.
“I know that Mitch and I care for each other, which is why I wouldn’t change anything about my time in the villa,” she wrote. “When we got back home, I enjoyed spending time together and having him back in my life.”
She continued by saying that “every couple of weeks”, the pair would travel to each other’s respective cities to pursue their romance.

Tina reiterated that “Mitch made it known he wasn’t in a place where he could be a good partner”.
“I agreed and told him I wouldn’t want to be in a relationship with how he was being either.”
Tina then confessed she was a self-aware queen, highlighting that her “toxic trait is holding onto things that aren’t good for [her]”.
As such, “it was Mitch who made the decision to call things with [their relationship]”.
Noting the breakup was “disappointing”, the influencer admitted she is “genuinely happier and in a good place”.
To absolutely nobody’s surprise, the pair are still on good terms.
“People love to pick things apart and speculate but there is no bad blood,” she doubled down.
“Just the reality of being in different places in our lives when it comes to what we are looking for.”
