Love Island Australia 2022’s viewers were baffled by the super fans’ decision to dump Jess Losurdo and Al Perkins from the villa ahead of the grand finale.

During the December 19 episode, host Sophie Monk revealed that only three couples would go on to public voting in the final episode.

The super fans apparently chose Callum Hole and Mads Wilcox over Jess and Al, cementing the popular online conspiracy that the Love Island Australia super fans were just the producers.

Fans (the real ones, that is) took to Twitter to share their chagrin at the super fans for unfairly manipulating the results again.

Others pointed out that Callum had been saved by the super fans too many times, as producers likely wanted to keep him in the villa because he made good TV.

And, come on, they’re not wrong. This is the guy who called Paris Hilton a “French bird with a chihuahua and a diamonte hat”.

If that’s not iconic reality TV in the making, we don’t know what is.
