Love Island Australia 2022’s Al Perkins has revealed whether he’s still together with his villa bae Jess Losurdo IRL.
The former Married at First Sight star told So Dramatic! that while they tried to maintain their relationship after leaving the villa, they were just close friends “at the moment”.
“We tried to be friends after the show. It was probably better that way. We’re still like really good friends to this day,” Al confirmed.
He continued: “We still FaceTime every second day and things like that. I’m really grateful to have her in my life and for the journey we went on.
“But we just happen to be friends at the moment.”
Al confirmed the transition from a romantic relationship into a friendship didn’t happen as soon as they left the villa.
“It was an eventual thing, it didn’t happen straight away. It happened over a period of time,” he said.

Speaking to So Dramatic!, Jess made it sound like somebody didn’t get the memo of where their relationship was at.
While Al (somewhat despondently) kept them in friends territory, Jess claimed he still had a chance.
“We’re seeing where it goes,” Jess said.
She added: “We still talk a lot. We see each other a lot, we’re still talking with each other a lot. Yeah, no, we’re good.”

The 26-year-old was also torn between staying true to himself and toning down his larrikin nature to avoid “conflict” with Jess.
“I look back at it now and I do wish I was a bit more serious,” Al said.
He continued: “I was joking around a lot. I was always making jokes because I do that when I get comfortable. But I take it too far, that’s my problem.
“I looked back now and I wish I was a bit more vulnerable. The jokes caused conflict and if could go back I wish I could change that a little bit.”
