The Challenge Australia‘s Megan Marx has joined critics in calling out Abbie Chatfield after announcing her appointment as FBOY Island Australia‘s host.
ICYMI: The serial reality star revealed on December 15 that she will head up the new dating show come 2023, and let’s just say people haven’t taken kindly to the new gig, given her current beef with Brittany Hockley.
Abbie recently blasted Kyle Sandilands and current co-host Brittany for “slut shaming” her in an interview with Yung Gravy on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Now, Megan has taken to the ‘gram to suggest Abbie is being hypocritical in hosting a “morally anaemic show” after claiming to try and “dismantle internalised misogyny”.
“Absolutely dying,” the 32-year-old penned on December 15.
“All this ‘work’ being done to dismantle internalised misogyny within the media space — with incredibly high-horsed judgemental diatribe that includes the public humiliation of another woman (and all the others in the past)…
“Only to announce THE VERY NEXT DAY that they’re hosting f*ckboy island?! [sic],” she continued. “A morally anaemic show where men get paid to lie to women? Wtf? This is too good.”
Megan added that “entertaining people through the humiliation of others is rank” before calling out Abbie’s crusade for “social justice”.
“Using ‘social justice’ as a BRAND to score gigs (THAT ARE CONTRARY TO YOUR WHOLE BRAND) is weird as sh*t,” she concluded.
The lengthy post follows Laura Byrne calling the FBOY Island host out for similarly championing “a show that encourages men to lie to women”.
Megan Marx and Abbie Chatfield recently locked horns over ADHD diagnosis
This isn’t the first time Megan and Abbie have locked horns over complicated societal issues.
In November, Abbie slammed Megan for making “ableist” statements about Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) being a “fad” and “stigmatising” medication.
At the time, Megan responded to those “jumping on the hate train” by explaining she was also diagnosed with ADHD and retracted certain statements.
The Bachelor star has since revealed she received “death threats” over her controversial commentary on the disorder.
