Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding‘s $250,000 contract for their podcast Sit With Us could be at risk.
An industry spy has revealed that the once-popular duo could be losing their big bucks as the podcast’s ratings have dwindled.
The insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle that the MAFS breakout stars’ agreement was dependent on their ratings staying strong.
However, Sit With Us dropped out of Australia’s top 150 podcasts, which was reported by Triton Digital’s podcast ranker in October.
“There was so much hype after MAFS. I’m told the girls managed to negotiate a 12-month deal worth around $250,000 for Sit With Us. But this doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll get all of the money,” the insider claimed.
They continued: “With most celebrity podcast deals, there are usually stipulations that you have to reach a certain amount of downloads and listeners each month to get the full fee.
“I assume Dom and Ella also have something like this in their contract. If they don’t hit certain targets then I imagine they’re at risk of not earning the full $250,000. At the end of the day, it’s just business.”
While the ranker saw them dip, the friends still have a strong ranking on Apple and Spotify, so we’ll see what happens.

Their controversial and often contradictory comments about their MAFS co-stars might be the cause of the drop of their once-loyal listeners.
Most recently, Domenica appeared on the Happy Hour Live with Lucy and Nikki podcast, where she laughed at Tamara’s plans to start an OnlyFans, claiming that nobody would want to subscribe.
“Babe, look. To be honest with you, don’t even bother because I even don’t think anyone will be willing to sign up, darl… Even if you’ve got a free subscription,” Domenica said of her co-star.
The 29-year-old later explained that she made the cruel statement because Tamara never apologised for “slut-shaming” her during MAFS.
“Tamara never apologised for the horrible things she said about me. If she had, this would have never been said,” she wrote in the Instagram post.
She continued, addressing the backlash: “Don’t try and put me down to their level because I’ve never slut shamed another woman.”
