The Block Australia 2022’s Tom Calleja and Sarah-Jane Wilson might be recouping their finances sooner than expected, with a new potential renovation spin-off on the horizon.
ICYMI: The couple were dealt a massive blow during November 6 finale, after they took home a low AF profit of just $20,000 — despite being pegged the favourites to win!
While fans quickly became tired of their near-constant marital fights and bizarre design choices, it appears Tom and Sarah-Jane won over Nine producers.
The duo were so popular among the production team that they’re now “in negotiations” to get their own design show, according to New Idea.
The “well-placed source” heard about the secretive plans during The Block 2022 auctions afterparty.
“No doubt this isn’t sitting well with some of the other teams. Many of them already thought SJ and Tom were being favoured by the judges and producers from day dot,” the source said. Same here!
They continued: “The fact they’re potentially getting their own spin-off pretty much proves this.”

After the bittersweet finale, fans of the controversial duo took to Facebook and Twitter to call for their return… but not to another whole show!
Viewers predicted Tom and Sarah-Jane would be given a chance at redemption by appearing in an All-Stars season — which has since been alluded to by Woman’s Day.
The suggestion is pretty ironic, TBH. During the premiere episode, Sarah-Jane expressed that she hated the All-Stars season because the returning Blockheads were no longer “everyday Australians”.
Well, we’ll see if she changes her tune if she’s offered a spot!
