With The Block Australia 2022′s auction day fast approaching, one neighbouring Gisborne property hopes to nab a loaded buyer who misses out on one of the five recently renovated houses.

The $3 million estate boasts 4.05 hectares of land and a traditional-looking brick house, compared to The Block houses, which have land ranging from 4.05 to 5.3 hectares and a price guide of $4.4 million.

And before Nine set up shop, the Gisborne region had an average house price of $1.1 million… so we can totally understand why they are getting in on it!

A Gisborne Property Claims Buyers Could Be a Part of “TV History” By Being The Block’s Neighbours

“An extremely exciting and rare opportunity to be the neighbour of The Block phenomenon and be part of TV history with this exclusive property… [which] was also leased by The Block employees during filming and construction,” the listing read.

We’re going to assume the interiors aren’t artfully decorated like those on The Block 2022 because there’s literally not a single photo inside the home on the listing. Better call Sarah-Jane, stat!

The listing agent even encouraged potential buyers to “out-build” The Block contestants, and are they gonna do it with the same time restraints and limited budget, too?

“Are you an opportunist? Why not challenge yourself to build a bigger and better home than your new neighbours across the road and re-write history by, in fact, having the biggest and best home ever built on McGeorge Road.”

The listing suggested that building something large enough could be a “topic for discussion on an international level”. Oh for sure, we can defs see people overseas sitting around talking about a regional Victorian property…

That $4M Block price tag suddenly isn’t looking so bad!
