Byron Baes‘ Jade Kevin Foster has recounted the terrifying moment his engagement ring was stolen when he was mugged after an event.
The influencer was assaulted on June 15, however, had only publicly opened up about the attack in recent days.
Chatting to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old said he was attending a nightclub event in Brisbane when he noticed a group of men watching him.
“I noticed a group of three men outside my VIP booth at the event,” he recalled.
“They were drinking quite slowly and staring at me but didn’t think too much of it.”
Due to freely posting his location on social media, the men could locate the influencer easily.
“I never had to second guess or question myself before posting on my social media telling fans where I will be or where I’m going,” he said, noting he’s only ever had positive interactions with followers in public.
Jade left the club at 4 am and took an Uber home.
The Same Men at the Club Followed Jade Kevin Foster to His Residence
According to the Netflix star, the same men from the club approached him outside his home.
“As I was dropped home and walking inside, the same three men — now wearing different coloured hoodies and jumpers — approached me and threw me to my cement wall next to my garage,” he revealed.
He added that the “ringleader” of the group “held his hand tightly” over his mouth. Meanwhile, a second perpetrator “grabbed” Jade’s hand and took his engagement ring.
“The third man kept aggressively asking me, ‘Who else is home?’ to which I replied, ‘My partner,'” he continued.
“As the main man took his hand off my mouth, I screamed so loud the neighbours switched their lights on across the street. The men proceeded to jump back in their car and sped off.”

After the trio fled the scene, Jade said he “couldn’t breathe”.
“I was in complete shock. I couldn’t breathe and thought I was having a heart attack,” he revealed. “I couldn’t believe what just happened.”
“Hysterical in disbelief”, he immediately went to this local police station. However, Jade claims an officer told him to return when the station officially opened at 8 am.
The influencer’s attackers have not yet been found, nor has his engagement ring been found.
“I haven’t been helped at all and have completely lost all faith in our justice system,” Jade admitted.
“Even though I’m upset about the value and materialistic possession of the ring, I’m more upset about the sentimental value that I have now lost and cannot be replaced.”
The confrontation has since left Jade with trust issues, and he is “constantly anxious” about being followed.
“I wouldn’t wish what happened to me upon anyone.”
He also confessed that he hopes his experience serves as a reminder for others to be careful when posting their whereabouts on social media.

Taking to his Instagram Story on September 29, Jade thanked his followers for their support in recent days.
“This is honestly coming from the bottom of my heart. I just want to say thank you to everyone that messaged me,” he said.
“I read all of your beautiful messages about what happened to me and my ring.”
The popular Instagram star concluded by promising he would soon “go into more detail” about the “whole saga”.
