Netflix has just released its bogan spin on the Real Housewives series in the form of Byron Baes. Anyone watching can see that the glitzy insta-turned-reality stars appear to be rolling in it already, however, we can’t help but wonder just how much they were paid to appear on the show.

The docuseries, which is set in Byron Bay (duh), follows the everyday lives of a gaggle of local influencers. And, as you would expect, there is puh-lenty of drama.

Now, several cast members have spilled the beans and revealed just how much they were paid for the series.

In a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph, The Bachelorette Australia‘s Nathan Favro confessed that he was paid well for his stint on Byron Baes.

“We were paid handsomely, Netflix look after you,” the star said.

Instagram model Jade Kevin Foster added that the streaming giant was “very generous.”

A Byron Baes production Insider Leaked How Much the Cast Were Paid For the Show

The admissions of the loose-lipped cast come after a supposed production insider revealed the “official” figures that the cast received to appear on the docu-soap.

The source also claimed that the stars were paid a whopping $500 per day during the show’s production.

The supposed insider divulged to Daily Mail Australia: “Talent were all paid the same out-of-pocket expense to appear on the show, which was less than $500 a day to cover off work and living costs”.

For comparison: the stars of Married at First Sight Australia 2022 are reportedly paid a measly $150 per day!

Everything You Need to Know About Byron Baes

Since the stars are being paid rather generously, it would be fair to assume that Byron Baes makes for some top-tier entertainment, right? RIGHT???

Well, that is up to you to decide… but here is everything you need to know about the brand-spanking-new show.

The docu-soap has been described by Netflix as a “love letter to Byron Bay”.

The streaming service called the popular holiday location a “magnet for influencers”.

“It’s not just Chris [Hemsworth] and Zac [Effron]’s backyard, it’s the playground of more celebrity-adjacent-adjacent influencers than you can poke a selfie stick at,” the official statement disclosed.

“But PLOT TWIST: Don’t write these Baes off too quickly. There’ll be fights, flings and heartbreak; but beneath every perfect post is a very real desire not just for ‘likes’, but to be liked, dammit, for who you are.”

Byron Baes is produced by the daft brilliant minds behind Married at First Sight, so of course, there is a constant stream of drama and at least one hidden girlfriend…and maybe a love child?

Who knows! The possibilities are endless!
