In wild influencer beef we never saw coming, Kurt Coleman – the man who practically invented the term “Facebook Famous” – has shaded Byron Baes star Jade Kevin Foster for allegedly purchasing Instagram followers.

Kurt, who hones over 106,000 Insta followers himself, took to Instagram Stories to address Jade’s co-star Alex Reid‘s proclamation that his fans were, well, fake AF.

“When people buy followers on social media,” the 24-year-old captioned a screenshot of the article addressing the claims.

“Just such wannabes these days,” he added.

While we may just be hearing of Jade now, Kurt on the other hand has been in the social media game for a heckin’ long time.

The star blew up on social media back in 2016 after documenting his wild escapades and posting them on Facebook.

In short, Kurt was one of Australia’s first major influencers, so it’s pretty safe to say that he knows what he is talking about when it comes to the social media game.

Here’s Why People Think Jade Kevin Foster Bought His Instagram Followers

Jade may claim to be the most followed Australian man on social media, but it turns out that there may be more to his ‘YUGE online following than meets the eye.

As Kurt pointed out, it seems as though the Insta-turned-reality star may have actually BOUGHT some of his 1.2 million Instagram followers!

In Netflix’s brand-spanking-new docu-soap Byron Baes, talent manager Alex Reid exposed his co-star for being fake AF.

Upon first meeting Jade in the show’s first episode, Alex caught a vibe that something was off about the influencer’s Instagram account. So, the sneaky star did a little digging.

Alex discovered that a whopping 451,000 of the people following Jade’s account come from Turkey.

He pointed out that a lot of fake social media accounts are based in countries in the Middle East, and, in the words of Kurt, “wannabe”-influencers can pay to have these fake accounts follow them.

Jade’s Social Blade Statistics Reveal Some Telling Information

Alex’s suspicions that Byron Baes‘ Jade bought his Instagram followers are further bolstered by the data reflected on Social Blade.

The site, which essentially tracks follower and engagement analytics across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and more, showed that Jade GAINED and then LOST almost 1.4 million followers in April 2021 ALONE.
