Farmer Wants a Wife has opened applications for 2023, offering seven eligible country-based bachelors to anybody keen for a good old-fashioned TV romance.

Before hitting apply, hopefuls have the chance read the in-depth bios from the 2023 farmers, which address everything from their philosophy on love to the age bracket they’re looking for in a partner.

Farmer Lachy cares about “trust and loyalty”, while Farmer Dylan looks forward to being “loving, protective and affectionate” towards his partner. AWH!

Applicants are asked to reflect on past mistakes regarding relationships, favourite qualities about themselves and the dreaded question – how long have you been single?

After filling out deal-breakers, values and thoughts on true love, applicants can pick from a potato farmer, a cattle farmer, a mixed-crop farmer, a cattle farmer, a cattle and sheep farmer, a cattle… you get the point.

What Happened on Farmer Wants a Wife 2021?

It all seems pretty wholesome, a world away from 2021’s fake farmers, alleged criminals and a bloke who literally could not keep it in his pants.

While it was hard to keep up, there is some good news — one couple, Andrew Guthrie and Jess Nathan, are still together!

Even with the drama-filled 2021 season, Farmer Wants A Wife is still considered the world’s most successful dating show.

It boasts 170 marriages, one long-term relationship and 387 beautiful farmer babies worldwide.

In Australia alone, the series has resulted in nine marriages, one long-term relationship and 23 babies. So get ready to get busy!

What Should We Expect From Farmer Wants a Wife 2023?

It appears that 2023’s most significant issue (so far) is the staggering lack of diversity in the farmer line-up.

While 2022 at least has one female farmer in the mix (get excited about some bare minimum representation!), 2023 applicants aren’t so lucky.

But hey, if you’re looking for a white bloke between the ages of 23 and 41 with old-school Aussie values and painfully vanilla taste in music and movies, FWAW could be for you!
