Abbie Chatfield has addressed rumours that she has broken up with her boyfriend and ex-Bachelorette star, Konrad Bien-Stephen.
Reality TV fans were sent into a frenzy on August 22 after it was reported that the duo had gone their separate ways, with Konrad allegedly already hooking up with Megan Marx on the set of The Challenge Australia.
Just hours after the Daily Mail Australia first reported on the breakup, Abbie took to her Instagram Story to note that she’s “seen the articles about Konrad”.
As he is currently in Argentina filming The Challenge, the 27-year-old said she “won’t be commenting on anything until he’s home”.
“Can every one [sic] not be so dramatic pls and relax,” she penned. “Both of us are totally okay.”
She then asked that the “paparazzi get their daily pic” of her “picking up dog poo” and leave her to “get a coffee in peace”.
Konrad Bien-Stephen Reportedly Told Co-Stars That He’s Newly Single
According to the Daily Mail Australia, the 32-year-old hooked up with Megan Marx on set after telling his castmates he was newly single.
“The drama is insane. Konrad is sleeping with Megan [Marx],” an insider revealed to the outlet. “Konrad said he was single and his relationship with Abbie Chatfield was over because she broke up with him.” Yikes!
The source also told the publication that Konrad and Megan — who first rose to prominence on Richie Strahan‘s season of The Bachelor — were inseparable once filming began.
“On the first night of filming, he hooked up with Megan. I didn’t know what was happening,” they confessed.
However, they added it was “extremely awkward” as “he was all over her the second [they] started filming”.
“It was like he was trying to make Brooke jealous because she was there too.” Drah-mah!
After hard-launching their romance in November 2021, Konrad and Abbie announced that they were practising ethical non-monogamy — also known as an open relationship.
However, fans have speculated in recent weeks that the duo had parted ways after Abbie seemed to scale back on mentioning her bae online and on her podcast, It’s a Lot.
Konrad Bien-Stephen and Megan Marx’s Hookup Isn’t the Only Romance On The Challenge Australia
According to the Daily Mail, Konrad and Megan’s spicy romance isn’t the only one unfolding on set.
“There’s a lot of drama,” an insider dished. “People who are in serious relationships are rooting other people in a space of two or three days.”
“The way they were telling us they were in love with their partners, and they can’t think of anyone else but them… it’s crazy.”
Several well-known reality stars are filming the reality series in Argentina, which sees TV personalities battle it out to win a yuge lump sum of prize money.
As exclusively revealed by So Dramatic!, a bunch of ex-Bachelor franchise contestants will appear alongside Konrad and Megan.
This includes Ciarran Stott and his exes, Jessica Brody, Renee Barrett and Kiki Morris, and The Bachelor’s Mary Viturino.
In addition, Big Brother‘s Tully Smyth (another of Ciarran’s former baes), Tim Dormer, Married at First Sight‘s Cyrell Paule and serial reality star Jack Vidgen are set to compete.
