The Block Australia 2022’s Dylan Adams and Jenny Heath (A.K.A Jenny from The Block) are the first-ever tradie couple to compete in the show’s 18-year history.

Already seasoned renovators, the couple were building their own home in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast when they got the call to be on the show.

Dylan, 29, is a builder by trade, and Jenny works with him as an apprentice tradie, with the pair even starting their own building company called Smooth Sailing Designs.

While they’re partners on The Block, they’re also partners-in-life — with the pair getting engaged on White Haven Beach back in January.

“7.01.21,” Jenny. 25, wrote on Instagram at the time. “It’s official 💍 Landed on white haven beach and had the proposal of our dreams 💖 It’s you and me baby love you forever 💖🌴🦋💍 [sic].”

Who are Dylan Adams and Jenny Heath from The Block Australia 2022

Dylan grew up in a building family, with his dad taking on the career before him.

“My dad is a builder, and I have grown up watching him,” he told 9Now.

“Now that I’m a builder, it felt natural to apply for The Block as it’s something I have always wanted to challenge myself with.”

Jenny — who is a triplet — on the other hand, worked in childcare before becoming a chippy.

She wants to show Australia and young girls that the building industry can be an excellent career choice for women.

“When I tell people I am doing my apprenticeship, they always say you don’t build; you don’t do anything. But I do — I do everything,” she told the same outlet.

So Dramatic! Daily podcast

As for their experience on the hit show, they believe they’ll be a “threat” to the other Blockheads. In fact, they did their research before heading to regional Victoria!

Of course, this is something that Rachel and Ryan Carr, in particular, didn’t get to do since they arrived after Elle Ferguson and Joel Patfull‘s exit.

This, coupled with their experience and oracle TAB predicting their win, it certainly looks like they’ve got this in the bag!
