Double threat team Dylan Adams and Jenny Heath seem to have The Block 2022 in the (sand)bag, with the tradie duo already pegged as the winners of the show’s first-ever regional season.
The 18th iteration of the hit reno show only hit screens in early August, however, betting agencies reckon the carpenters in House 4 have the makings of The Block champions!
According to Tab.com.au, Dylan and Jenny have odds sitting at $2.75 at the time of writing.
Slated to come in second place are Rachel and Ryan Carr, who were late to the competition after replacing disgraced walkouts Elle Ferguson and Joel Patfull.
Their odds currently come in at $4.00.
The Block 2022 Winners Are Yet to Be Decided
While it’s all well and good to state that Dylan and Jenny will (probs) take out the win, take their winners’ status with a grain of salt.
As per every other season of The Block, the eventual champions will be whichever team earns the most money over their home’s reserve price on auction day. And, the four 10-acre properties are yet to go under the hammer.
In 2021, returnee contestants Mitch Edwards and Mark Mckie won the series after their home fetched $4,044,444.44 at auction.
Jenny’s participation in The Block marks the first time in 18 years that a female tradesperson has competed.
So, with her fiancé a fully-qualified builder, the apprentice tradie brings all her skills to the Gisborne construction site.
Oh, and did we mention the duo own their own building company? No wonder they’re slated to come out on top!
