Married at First Sight Australia 2021‘s Bryce Ruthven‘s radio presenter aspirations are in his rearview now that he has set his sights on a TV reporter job.

As reported by So Dramatic!, the season eight villain hasn’t had much luck amid his recent job hunt.

A source previously revealed that Bryce accepted a job with Launceston’s Chilli FM in May. However, the offer was rescinded after his predecessor approached the “big regional boss of [Australian Radio Network]”, making it clear that Bryce was “not to be hired”.

Despite vehemently denying the claims, Bryce has since revealed he is suing ARN for $333,000 for revoking the job offer.

Having evidently burned bridges in the radio industry, it seems the controversial groom has pivoted to seeking a gig on TV.

As disclosed in episode 202 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one insider slid into our DMs with some “spicy Bryce-related tea”.

“I have a friend who works at WIN News in Ballarat — and guess who just applied for a job as a reporter there?” they said.

“Needless to say, there was no mention of MAFS on the resume!” Well, rumour has it “TV villain” isn’t looked favourably upon in the workforce!

The source then concluded that they’re “pretty sure Bryce is not getting an interview”.

Bryce Ruthven Has Proposed a Settlement with Australian Radio Network

According to the Herald Sun, Bryce’s lawyers sent a “letter of demand” to ARN in June claiming a breach of contract. This detailed the reality star’s loss of earnings, damage to reputation and emotional stress.

Bryce and his fiancée, Melissa Rawson, had apparently already set in motion their relocation to Launceston when the offer was revoked.

“Our Client has suffered loss amounting to an estimated sum of $333,300.00 being the total of $77,000.00, as the annual salary that was promised by ARN as part of the offer,” the letter reportedly read.

However, according to Bryce’s legal representatives, the TV groom is “willing to accept” $200,000 to settle the matter, instead of suing for the full amount.
