The Real Housewives of Melbourne posse might not return for a sixth season after the latest edition fell flatter than a glass of cheap champagne.

There’s no denying that fans had mixed reviews of the fifth season, with many complaining that it lacked the certain je ne sais quoi that had viewers clamouring for more after it first launched in 2014.

Now, an unnamed pot-stirrer has dished that we might be saying goodbye to the housewives sooner than anticipated!

When asked by the Herald Sun whether a sixth RHOM season is on the cards, the source replied with a hard no.

“No, those girls f*cked it up,” they confessed at the Logies. *sips tea*

While fans can’t get enough of OG Melb queens Janet Roach, Gamble Breaux and Jackie Gilles, the same can’t be said for the more fresh names on the RHOM bill.

Newcomers Cherry Dipietrantonio, Kyla Kirkpatrick, Simone Elliott and Anjali Rao failed to meet Housewives diehards’ expectations, with Anjali walking out partway through the season.

Janet Roach Previously Teased a Shake-Up Coming to the Sixth Season

Prior to the claims that RHOM won’t return, Janet claimed that three of the new faces won’t be back for season six.

“The season is over,” she penned on Twitter in December. “Those 3 won’t be back. They rated poorly. Why do you think [former Housewives] Susie, Sally and Venus didn’t come back? They wanted to, unfortunately they rated poorly.”

With Simone responding, “the matriarch has spoken”, it’s safe to assume Cherry, Kyla and Anjali were in the firing line of Janet’s tweet!

So, will the Real Housewives of Melbourne ladies’ sequins live to sparkle another day? We’ll have to wait and see!
