The Real Housewives of Melbourne star Janet Roach has revealed she isn’t to blame for Anjali Rao quitting the popular reality show.

So Dramatic! previously reported on Anjali quitting the series in early November. However, the shock exit only played out on-screen in recent weeks.

Initially, Janet’s fellow housewives suggested she was behind Anjali’s decision to quit the show. Now, in the latest RHOM episode, Janet denies it was “due to her”.

“[I] barely said two words to her,” Janet confessed, later calling Kyla a “dirty rat”.

The comments came after Simone Elliott confronted the herbal tea mogul following Kyla Kirkpatrick‘s claims that Janet allegedly “broke into” Anjali’s apartment during a pool party.

In an attempt to clear her name, the 62-year-old said she mistook a communal area in the building for Anjali’s apartment.

Surprised it was dead empty, she took a peep in a cupboard to find proof that Anjali didn’t actually reside there. And TBH, we would’ve done the exact same thing.

Despite confessing to Simone that Anjali had reviewed CCTV footage and found no evidence of Janet’s alleged break-in, Kyla said Anjali still wanted to “talk to the police about it”.

And there you have it! Case (partially) closed!

Anjali Rao Announces Her Exit From The Real Housewives of Melbourne

Former CNN journalist Anjali took to Instagram to stand by her decision to leave the show.

The 31-year-old told fans that she “[leaves] behind a trail of seemingly unintelligible words [and] a truckload of sequins.”

“Honestly though, thank you to the network, production, cast, crew, and fans for understanding my reasons for leaving,” she wrote. “If I have let anyone down, I am truly sorry.

“The decision I made to walk away was really hard.”

In the episode, she told the camera “you don’t deserve my explanations”, adding it was a decision she came to herself.

The screen turned to black and then confirmed her departure with the words: “After lengthy discussions with producers, Anjali decided to leave the show.”

Anjali was cast in The Real Housewives of Melbourne in February 2020.
