Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Ella Ding and Domenica Calarco are full of surprises, with the pair revealing that they walked the Logies red carpet sans underwear.
The fan-favourites let slip the juicy tidbit during a bonus episode of their podcast, Sit With Us, in which they rehashed their first experience of TV’s night of nights.
While Ella and Domenica dazzled in Oglia Loro and Lillian Khallouf couture respectively, not much was going on down under!
Discussing Love Island host Sophie Monk‘s red carpet wedgie, Domenica said that wasn’t something they had to deal with.
“We’re like, ‘Babe, we don’t have underwear on, but if we did it would be up there too,” she said.
Ella continued by admitting that she’s been “commando for as long as [she] can remember”.
ICYMI: “Commando” or “going commando” is a way of saying you’re not wearing underwear.
According to the 28-year-old MAFS star, she’s “always gone underwear-free”.
“But for me, it was just health reasons. I would get UTIs [urinary tract infections] or thrush from underwear all the time,” Ella confessed. “I tried the organic cotton for a very long time [but it] didn’t work.
“So, I just started not wearing underwear,” she said, before adding that she also wears jeans sans knickers!
Similarly, Domenica shared where her love of nonederwear stemmed from.
“One thing my mum always told me was at night, don’t wear underwear to let it breathe,” she said. “Oh my God, life-changing.”
Married at First Sight‘s Ella and Domenica Claim the Logies Are “Rigged”
With Married at First Sight up for the Best Reality Program, Ella and Domenica said they thought they had won after they were brought into the “main room” prior to the category being announced.
“We were in a separate viewing room… but they moved us into the main room when our nomination was coming,” Ella explained.
Domenica continued: “We’re like, ‘Okay… if they’re bringing us in, we’ve won’.”
However, the pair admitted they were “p*ssed” when MasterChef Australia was revealed to be the winner.
“We didn’t win, even though we’re the highest rating show on Australian TV,” Domenica said, before Ella mused that the Logies were “rigged”.
“Because there was two million viewers… I think I’m just confused. [sic],” she said. “I genuinely thought that we had in it the bag.”
Domenica concluded: “The winner is MasterChef. Who even watches that?” Ummm, us?!
