We all know that there is no better launching pad for one’s media career than a reality TV cameo, but Big Brother newbie Jaycee is already TikTok famous (and the proud owner of a lucrative blue tick) so why TF is he taking on the show?
The 23-year-old has amassed a whopping 1.3 million followers on TikTok and 38.9k on Instagram, earning him verification on both platforms.
However, despite his social media stardom, Jaycee is much more than an influencer.
The WA local is actually an uber talented hip hop artist and uses his platform to promote his music – the blue tick is just a bonus.
He’s dropped four albums thus far, as well as a host of singles, and actually produces a good handful of his own stuff as well!
So yeah, the man’s got talent!
The hunky housemate’s experience in the music business – a notoriously cut-throat industry – is sure to play to his advantage in the house. After all, if all else fails he can serenade the other contestants with his freestyle rapping.
Jaycee Has Been Called Out For His Bizzaare TikTok Content
Prior to Big Brother, Jaycee used to use his TikTok to promote his music, uploading videos that included rap and remix videos.
Until starting the show, his content shifted to uploaded clips where he stops “random” people on the street and asks them to choose between his song or the song of a very famous, well-established musician.
They almost always choose him, and is it just us or is something about this format a lil’ sus?
Now, his content revolves heavily around the show (duh).
One question remains: is Jaycee genuine – or is Big Brother simply a stepping stone to a big, bad music career?!
