Married at First Sight Australia expert John Aiken has cast his vote on who he thinks the experiment’s biggest villain of all time is.

After nine seasons on the couch, the 51-year-old expert has seen his fair share of controversial contestants but is there one Married at First Sight star who takes the cake?

Chatting to KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday, John said there have been a number of contestants “who have really polarised the audience”.

Bryce [Ruthven] last year had a lot of people talking [and] Olivia [Frazer] this year,” he mused. “I remember [Jessika Power], Martha [Kalifatidis], Cyrell [Paule], that big triangle…”

However, that answer didn’t satisfy host Jackie O Henderson, who then asked John if he thinks the “Olivia” drama has “riled people up the most”.

“I think it’s certainly… one of the biggest talking points on the show [that] we’ve ever had,” he said.

John, who was quick to call Olivia out on the couch at the latest Commitment Ceremony over the nude photo scandal, then added that her rivalry with Domenica Calarco “is probably the biggest one we’ve ever had”.

Did Domenica Calarco Unfairly Call People Out During the Experiment?

Fans of Married at First Sight were quick to side with Domenica after Olivia continued to call her out for allegedly slamming her co-stars without cause.

While Olivia has maintained in media interviews that this behaviour from Domenica occurred in scenes that didn’t go to air, John came to the defence of the Italian bride during his chat with the radio hosts.

“No, I don’t think [Domenica] calls out people unnecessarily,” he admitted. “She’s a straight shooter. I think she is a person that’s opinionated.

“That’s one of the reasons why people really connect with her… because she’s authentic.”
