Just when Al Perkins‘ gorgeous mum couldn’t find anything else to diss her son about, it turns out the Married at First Sight Australia 2022 groom is a super-spreader.

Back in 2020, during Bachelor in Paradise, host of the So Dramatic! podcast, Megan Pustetto coined the term to describe the notorious (and now reformed) Ciarran Stott — and now, it seems, Al has proven he’s more than worthy of the title.
Why Has Married at First Sight’s Al Been Crowned a “Super Spreader”?
Now we already know that Al loves — well, himself — but it also turns out that Al is a lover of the ladies. And thanks to a So Dramatic! spy, we have some intel about his f*ckboy ways.
As reported in episode 147 of the So Dramatic! podcast, our source revealed that “Alan” used to DM her non-stop to “come over for a root”. Her words, not ours.
“Literally had to ghost him because he was so persistent,” she said.
According to the source, Al would contact her “every weekend” and she just wouldn’t respond “half of the time”.
Not only did she throw Al under the big ol’ bus, but she added: “He is obviously 1000% in it for the followers. His sisters are Instagram models and he’s obsessed with the clout.” Ouch!
Look, we’re going to cut ol’ Al a little bit of slack, being 25 and single can get a little out of hand — but wouldn’t Love Island Australia have been a better choice?
Perhaps he got his applications mixed up?
What Do We Know About Al So Far?
During the season’s fifth episode, we met 25-year-old Al ahead of his blind nuptials to Samantha Moitzi.
Samantha, who had previously confessed to the experts that she was totally done with dating boys was purposely paired with an actual child who “rates” himself an 11 out of ten and who couldn’t even tuck in his own shirt on his wedding day.
His mum even took the opportunity at his wedding to roast her son, who not only does nothing around the house, but can’t even make scrambled eggs.
And even though he’s actually a loveable idiot, Al does seem to really want to make it work with Samantha. However, providing the experiment’s very first “shoey” is probably not doing him any favours.
Ah, Al. You do you, boo!
