The Bachelorette Australia 2021 runner-up Jamie-Lee Dayz has broken her silence about Brooke Blurton‘s split from winner Darvid Garayeli.
Since Darvid’s Instagram announcement that he and Brooke had parted ways, the 27-year-old has received an influx of support from his Bachelorette co-stars.
Jamie-Lee was one of a number of contestants who took to the comments section in solidarity with Darvid, writing: “You’ve got this.”
As discussed in episode 140 of the So Dramatic! podcast, host Megan Pustetto reached out to the reality star for her thoughts on the split after it appeared she was no longer following Brooke on Instagram.
“What transpired between Brooke and Darvid is none of my business,” Jamie-Lee said, maintaining that she and the Bachelorette are on “good terms”.
The 30-year-old added: “The comment I made on Darvid’s post was me supporting a friend, nothing more, nothing less.”
She also noted that she “show[s] the same support to Brooke as [she does] to Darvid”. However, after her statement, it appears that Jamie-Lee began following her former TV flame online again.
Why Did Brooke Blurton And Darvid Garayeli Split Up?
ICYMI: Darvid requested privacy from their loyal fans after announcing their split on his Instagram Story on January 2.
“Whilst we both genuinely thought we were each others [sic] person, things change and that’s okay,” he penned. “Please respect our privacy and that at the end of the day we are both just people with real feelings.”
Brooke later took to the app to reveal she was blindsided by Darvid’s announcement, insinuating that her ex had gone rogue and revealed the split without her consent.
Since parting ways, a number of rumours have suggested that infidelity contributed to the reality stars’ breakup. However, both Brooke and Darvid have confirmed to So Dramatic! that there was no cheating involved.
“I had been unhappy for a bit and it wasn’t just solely because of the relationship,” Brooke wrote, adding the loss of her sister Ky contributed to her dejection.
“At the start of the show, I was the best version of myself and when the show ended and my sister died, I became the worst and my saddest.”
