Bachelorette Brooke Blurton has broken her silence after Darvid Garayeli revealed that the pair had split.
Posting on her Instagram stories, Brooke addressed the bombshell news and revealed she had been blindsided by the announcement made by her current live-in boyfriend.
“Hey beautiful people, before my phone blows up. I just want to say right now I’m finding this really quite overwhelming and just as surprising to me as you guys,” she wrote on Instagram stories at 10 am.
“I just woke up to the news.
“It was definitely agreed to part ways. I just wanted to do it privately, amicably, and respectfully.
“This is not how and what I expected to be doing right now so as you can imagine, this is all a lot.
“You will all have your judgements and have your say but there is a lot going on in my world and D’s of course. So I again just ask you to be kind, we are human.
“I really do hope you respect some part of somewhat ‘privacy’ we do have right now because like I said, this was a surprise to wake up to just as much as it was for you guys.
“For now, tuning out but we will speak soon, B.”
Darvid Announces His Breakup From Brooke on Instagram
Brooke’s post comes after Darvid revealed this morning at 6 am that he had broken up with Brooke just one month after the finale aired on screens.
Taking to his Instagram to announce the shock news he wrote: “Starting the new year off with an end to a chapter and hopefully the beginning of another.
“Unfortunately Brooke and I have parted ways. Whilst we both genuinely thought we were each others [sic] person, things change and that’s okay.
“Please respect our privacy and that at the end of the day we are both just people with real feelings.
“Thank you so much for being considerate, alot of lessons learned.”
What Had Brooke Blurton Said About Darvid Garayeli at The Time?
Brooke was yet to comment when Darvid made the announcement on Instagram.
However, eight hours prior, the proud Noongar/Yamatji First Nations woman did thank her friends and followers for “the best birthday in a very long time.”
“I’ve had by far the best birthday in a very long time thanks to loved ones and some very special people,” she wrote on her Instagram stories at 10 pm on Saturday night.
“So I just wanted to thank everyone for those who have been on this wild ride of 2021 with me and enjoyed the ride that it’s been.
“I’ve loved, learnt, hurt and lived this year for sure.
“I can’t wait for 2022 and the start that it has in store for me, for us, for my family, for my mob.
“You guys are always the real OG’s, VIP, MVP’s in my eyes.
“Here’s to another year of craziness, queerness and happiness.”
What Clues Were There That Brooke and Darvid Had Split?
The shock news comes after Brooke celebrated her birthday on New Years Day, with Darvid noticeably absent in from photos of the event.
However, So Dramatic! understands that the pair spent New Year’s Eve together.
On New Year’s Eve Brooke posted a 2021 highlights video to Tik Tok and Darvid commented underneath the post, “Looking forward to 2022.”
So Dramatic! sleuths also noticed that Brooke didn’t spend Christmas with Darvid, who went back home to Brisbane with his family, whilst Brooke stayed in Melbourne. They also noticed that the pair hadn’t been posting each other as much over the Christmas period.
However, Brooke did share a photo of the Balenciaga bag Darvid bought her for Christmas.
The shock split comes after Darvid revealed on Christmas Eve that he had listed his Queensland home for sale after relocating to Melbourne and moving into a new home with Brooke in November.
