Brooke Blurton and Darvid Garayeli have addressed whether cheating contributed to their public breakup just one month after The Bachelorette.
On January 2, Darvid revealed on Instagram that he and Brooke had “parted ways” and requested privacy from their loyal fans.
“Whilst we both genuinely thought we were each others [sic] person, things change and that’s okay,” he penned. “Please respect our privacy and that at the end of the day we are both just people with real feelings.”
Brooke later took to the app to reveal she was blindsided by Darvid’s announcement, insinuating that her ex had gone rogue and revealed the split without her consent.
Since parting ways, a number of rumours have suggested that infidelity contributed to the reality stars’ breakup. However, both Brooke and Darvid have confirmed to So Dramatic! that there was no cheating involved.
The 27-year-old Bachelorette also reiterated this in a subsequent Instagram story, adding it was her “choice” to end the relationship.
Rumours That Brooke Blurton Was Still In Touch With A Bachelor In Paradise Co-Star
While Camp Brooke and Camp Darvid continue to deny that infidelity was a contributing factor to their split, the Brisbane landscaper was suss on his girlfriend’s relationship with an ex-Bachelor In Paradise flame.
Fans of the island-based reality TV series will remember Brooke’s brief fling with US Bachelorette import, Alex Bordyukov, AKA “American Alex”. However, things failed to eventuate after Brooke pursued things with Alex Nation.
In episode 138 of the So Dramatic! podcast, a source close to Brooke revealed Darvid became “paranoid” after learning that she and American Alex were still in touch.
“Brooke and Alex were still in contact, but it was purely platonic,” they said. “They talk every couple of weeks, check in with each other.”
According to the source, Alex even offered to message Darvid to confirm that he and Brooke were just friends after he’d uncovered messages between the two.

Darvid was reportedly also paranoid about Brooke’s relationship with Geelong footballer Jed Bews. According to a source, he even accused them of seeing each other romantically behind his back!
This isn’t the first time rumours have circulated about Brooke and Jed. Prior to The Bachelorette, the pair were reported to be dating, with the reality darling dumping the defender before filming her latest TV stint.
However, a source in Brooke’s inner circle maintains this was not the case.
“Brooke never liked Jed as much as he liked her,” they confessed. “It was never really a romantic thing.”

Despite not being in a relationship with Jed, he was featured in a short TikTok video made by Brooke to recap her year.
The 12-second clip was captioned, “The best year of my life and the hardest”, and also included loved-up snaps of Brooke and musician G-Flip. The pair also previously sparked dating rumours after featuring on each other’s social media a number of times.

The real clanger, however, is that this video was posted to TikTok and Instagram on December 30 — three days before news of Brooke and Darvid’s split reached social media.

While Darvid also appeared in the video, photos of the two were scarce, which indicates their relationship was already on thin ice.
A source close to the Bachelorette confessed to So Dramatic! this was done on purpose.
“In Brooke’s eyes things had already ended between her and Darvid,” they said. “She had already broke up with him, so that’s why she included Jed and G Flip in the video [sic].”
“She was using it as a ‘cya later’ kinda video… done and dusted type of thing.”
