Abbie Chatfield appeared on The Bachelorette Australia 2021 finale last night as Brooke Blurton’s closest confidant.

However, the former Bachelor star threw the ultimate shade to her best friend during her special night.

In a clear snub to Brooke, Abbie made no mention of her appearance on The Bachelorette. In fact, she made no mention of Brooke at all — including zero congratulations for her after she chose Darvid Garayeli.

You heard correctly… No mention, no acknowledgement, no congratulations. Nothing. Na-da!

What Did Fans Think of Abbie Chatfield Snubbing Brooke Blurton During After the Finale?

Viewers were quick to notice the very obvious insult from Abbie, taking to social media to point it out.

Fans also noticed that it wasn’t a case of Abbie not being active on social media that was to blame because the regular social media contributor made several other posts across her various channels throughout the night.

Instead of congratulating her friend, Abbie posted a glamorous photo of herself with the caption: “Googled myself. Found this. Hot. Sharing w u [sic].”

Abbie also promoted her Vush vibrator and also shared a number of photos of her new bae Konrad Bien-Stephens who you may remember as Brooke’s third runner-up from this season of The Bachelorette.

One eagled-eye fan wrote: “Peep Abbie promoting Vush and not promoting Brooke’s episode she’s about to appear on tonight lmao. [sic]”

Another wrote: “Is this satire? Did she even promote this episode for Brooke at all?”

But the most telling snub from Abbie was the one she made congratulating Love Island winners Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd after their grand finale win.

During the evening, Abbie also posted a video on TikTok with Konrad, with one user commenting: “Umm that’s Brooke’s”, referring to Konrad.

However, another wrote: “Brooke didn’t want the king let the queen have him.” Abbie then liked the comment. Ouch!

Meanwhile, Brooke posted several photos with Abbie from The Bachelorette finale.

Did Brooke Blurton Make Mention of Abbie Chatfield?

It appeared Brooke had also snubbed Abbie!

Brooke’s best friend Gabrielle Ebsworth shared a screenshot of Brooke watching The Bachelorette finale over Zoom with her nearest and dearest.

Brooke was accompanied by her final pick Darvid along with longtime best friend Gabrielle, academic Amy Thunig (who appeared as Brooke’s friend during the finale alongside Abbie) and friend Rachael Sara.

“All my fave people,” she wrote. “How good is love?”

Abbie’s appearance as Brooke’s best friend during the finale couldn’t have come at a more awkward time. On the eve of the episode airing, Brooke pointedly unfollowed Abbie on Instagram after she hard-launched her relationship with Konrad.

And the irony wasn’t lost on viewers who took to social media to point it out.

“Sorry but something about this episode happening the day after Brooke unfollowed Abbie is very funny to me,” one person wrote on Twitter.

Another said: “I wish we had a Bachelorette reunion show so we could see Abbie and Konrad and Osher Gunsburg could ask Brooke why she unfollowed Abbie.”

Abbie Chatfield Cops Backlash After Hard-Launching New Boyfriend Konrad Bien-Stephen

It’s not the first time viewers have been less than impressed by Abbie’s treatment of Brooke. The It’s a Lot podcast host copped even more backlash from fans after hard-launching her relationship with her new boyfriend, Brooke’s runner-up Konrad, on the eve of finale night.

“I used to really like Abbie, but this just baffles me,” one fan wrote on social media. “I don’t get why she didn’t just wait, instead she went for the attention and made it public before Brooke’s final even aired. Especially knowing he was a fan favourite.

“Abbie preaches all the time about feminism and whatnot, but doesn’t wait for her close friend’s season to be over?

“It’s not just a normal season either, it’s a season with an Indigenous lead who is also part of the LGBTQI+ community???

“It seems to me that everyone has to live up to her standards, but she can do whatever the f*ck she wants and not worry about the feelings of others (close friends especially).”

Another said: “She even appeared on the show and still did this? I don’t understand why she couldn’t wait a few weeks to announce it. I would be pissed too.”

Another agreed, writing: “I agree she shouldn’t have posted before the show ends, but anything for a publicity stunt.”

“As a friend, she should have waited. To let the views have a surprise and undivided attention towards the Bachelorette. She should have waited until the show was over. What would it have cost her to wait?!” another person asked.

“It’s Brooke’s time to shine. Everyone should be talking about her and her experiences. Now everyone is talking about Abbie and Konrad. Konrad and Abbie should have waited. What’s another two weeks of keeping their relationship a secret until the season ended? Even more so with Abbie being on this episode too [sic],” another user wrote on Facebook.

“The issue lies more with the decision to announce the relationship the day before the finale despite keeping quiet on the rumours for weeks. I think it’s great Abbie and Konrad are together. I just think it’s poor timing considering the huge following Abbie has and that today is supposed to be Brooke’s Day,” said another.

Whilst another person summed it up best, saying: “I feel like everyone is just glazing over the fact that Abbie is meant to be one of her best friends… Such a close friend that she appeared on the show for Brooke. Let your best friend have her moment on national TV for Christ sake, you’re meant to be a “girls girl” but you dogged her.

End of discussion.”
