The pair claimed victory over fellow finalists Chris Graudins and Zoe Clish, and Jess Velkovski and Aaron Waters.

The couple was offered two envelopes, one with $50k and the other empty, before being tasked with choosing whether they would split the money or take the earnings for themselves.

“I did not expect to meet someone so special or to make it through to the final – and with a boyfriend!” Tina said after the win. “But our connection was instant and I’m so grateful for the journey we’ve shared.

“I can’t wait for our future together and I’m very thankful to the Australian public for believing in us.” Aww, we love you guys!

Mitch also shared the same sentiment.

“I’d never thought walking into the villa that I’d find someone like Tina,” he said. “I’ve come out of this amazing experience with my first girlfriend and have grown into a better version of myself.”

“We’ve laughed, cried, and made great memories along the way – to win the show on top of that is huge!”

Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd’s Love Island Australia 2021 Journey

Even though they were crowned the. Love Island Australia 2021 winners, the road to Mitch and Tina’s victory was less than smooth.

While they started off strong, when bomb Emily Ward entered the villa, things turned, well, crappy for the couple. As it turned out, Mitch and Emily had been DMing on Instagram prior to the show and already had a connection.

It was here, that the AFL player had to make a decision on who he wanted to couple up with and after a few days of turmoil for all three contestants, he chose Tina.

“It was a defining point in our journey,” Tina told 9Now in an interview post-win. “It ended up being a few nights in the end but it didn’t matter to us. It was a special moment and we bonded a lot on those few nights we slept outside. It was really the point where we became serious and were on track.”

From that moment, the pair became the strongest connection in the villa and after a romantic final date in a helicopter, Mitch decided to put a label on it.

“It really was just a label because I feel like that’s where we were at in our relationship. I’m glad we got to have such a special moment,” Tina told the outlet.

Are Love Island Australia 2021 Winners Mitch and Tina Still Together?

As we know, Love Island Australia is filmed in advance, which means that Mitch and Tina have had a few more days to get to know each other.

“He’s [Mitch] met my parents and they love him,” Tina revealed to 9Now. “It was nice to have that moment meeting the family and as soon as the borders open to Tasmania I’m sure I’ll meet his family too.”

With Mitch adding: “It was so good. I feel like they already felt like they knew me a little bit. It kind of made it really easy. They like me. It is a surreal thing. We only met six, seven weeks ago and look at where we are now and going into each other’s houses.”

Of course, meeting in the Love Island Australia villa is not a normal meet-cute, so where does that leave them?

“Maybe we just get some coffee. Let’s just start there,” Mitch said before Tina added: “I think we need to put the bar back down low.”

Aww, you guys! Congratulations to Mitch and Tina!
