Married at First Sight Australia 2020‘s Hayley Vernon has announced she’s quitting OnlyFans and the “soul-destroying” porn industry.

Hayley is arguably the most well-known MAFS bride to have made a foray into OnlyFans, before briefly working as a high-class escort.

Now, in an Instagram video shared on April 21, the 37-year-old has revealed she was “ceasing all adult work” effective immediately.

“It just feels like a big breath out for me,” she told her followers.

“I will not be filming any more videos for [OnlyFans]. I think I have about nine or ten releases left. I will not be engaging or soliciting myself anymore or giving any of my beings to anyone further than what I have done.”

Hayley Vernon reveals she was ‘suffering from severe anxiety’ throughout OnlyFans career

Hayley added that working in the porn industry was “so far removed” from who she really is, admitting that the career brought “so much negativity” into her life.

“I was suffering from severe anxiety. I wasn’t certain of who I was because I was trying to be someone different. I’ve just made the decision that it does not serve me. It’s soul destroying, I’m just going to say it,” she said.

“And I know that a lot of people are going to say, ‘You’re a hypocrite’… But I was merely supposed to pass through this stage of my life. I was never supposed to sit in it.”

Revealing she joined OnlyFans out of desperation during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hayley said she “got greedy” after earning big bucks on the site.

“I have never felt so free and so light in my heart since making the decision to get out of the industry.”

What will Hayley Vernon do now?

The former MAFS bride said she was keen to work a normal job and help others.

Hayley’s decision to leave the adult industry comes after she announced a new business venture, CapitalHach, a women-only wellness retreat.

According to a post on her social media, the retreat works to teach participants strategies to become the “biggest version of themselves”.

The first retreat will occur in Phuket, Thailand, where it will offer workshops, yoga, boxing, hiking and meditation.
