Wild claims have emerged about the real reason The Block 2024‘s Jesse Maguire and Paige Beechey cancelled their upcoming wedding.
ICYMI: after quitting the 20th season of the renovation show to preserve their mental well-being, the Western Australian couple announced that they’d pulled the plug on their pending nuptials.
“Life, in its unpredictable course, has presented us with unforeseen circumstances that have led us to postpone our wedding on 12 December 2024,” a leaked announcement from the pair read.
It added: “Whilst we were eagerly looking forward to celebrating our love and commitment with you all, we believe it’s essential to acknowledge when a moment is not right, and this year, it’s not.”
While the wedding is yet to be rescheduled, Paige and Jesse recently told Yahoo Lifestyle that The Block brought them “closer” than ever.
However, several sources have denied this is the case, claiming a love triangle is at the centre of the couple’s relationship issues.
The Block builder Zak alleged he and Paige ‘had feelings for each other’
As reported in episode 421 of the So Dramatic! podcast, one insider alleged that Jesse and Paige‘s builder Zak “told his mate that he and Paige had feelings for each other while working on The Block“. Ooft!
Of course, host Megan Pustetto followed this up with another source who spilled even more tea about the situation.
“Yes, can confirm. That’s why Jesse and Paige were arguing so much. Jesse confronted her about it, and she completely blew up at him and gaslit him,” they explained.
“Nothing physical happened, but it was enough for Jesse to think she crossed a line.”
The insider added that Paige and her former builder “have kept in touch” since the show, “which Jesse hasn’t been comfortable with”.
“Paige has said they’re just friends, and he’s been checking in on her, but Jesse feels like it’s more than that. He’s asked her to cease contact, but she’s refused, which has led to a lot of problems between them,” they claimed.
“That’s essentially why they cancelled their wedding; the trust was gone.”
The allegations come after Paige staunchly defended Zak online after The Block fans called him out for his treatment of Jesse and Paige’s replacements, Maddy and Charlotte Harry.
Claims emerge about Paige Beechey and a DIFFERENT The Block tradie
A third source threw a spanner in the works, telling So Dramatic! that they “didn’t hear anything about Paige and Zak.”
“But I did hear something about Paige and the hot builder, Nathan,” they revealed. “He looks very similar to Jesse, and there was a lot of talk about how friendly he and Paige were during filming. Lots of flirting and stuff like that.” Sheesh!
The insider continued: “Paige was following him on Instagram after filming, but once whispers about them began, she quickly unfollowed him, which was suss.”
Indeed!
