FBOY Island Australia 2023‘s Ziara Rae has announced that she and boyfriend Izaya Leota have broken up.

The young couple burst our hearts during the inaugural season of Binge’s popular dating show, particularly when they confessed they were in love after a few short weeks of filming.

They’ve since blessed our feeds with loved-up snaps on the ‘gram. However, it’s now been revealed they have sadly called time on their relationship.

Ziara announced the news on September 4 during an Instagram Q&A, during which a fan wondered if she and Izaya were still an item.

“The burning question,” the 24-year-old mused. “It feels odd to say this here, but Izaya and I are not together anymore.

“As much as we tried, we couldn’t make the long-distance work.” Damn!

FBOY Island 2023‘s Ziara Rae says she ‘still has love’ for Izaya Leota after their breakup

Ziara said they “both have personal and career responsibilities” that prevented either of them from moving interstate — Izaya lives in Queensland, while she is based in Melbourne.

“We still have love for each other and are still friends,” the FBOY Island lead assured fans.

“We are so grateful that we met on the show and for the amazing journey afterwards.”

At the time of writing, Izaya has yet to comment on his breakup with Ziara. However, he has removed all traces of their relationship from his Instagram page.

Meanwhile, memories of the couple are still on Ziara’s account.
