We know why Married at First Sight Australia 2022‘s Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding really reunited amid their ongoing feud, and it’s juicy AF!
Since cancelling their controversial podcast in August, rumours have been circling that the pair were no longer besties after they stopped posting together on social media.
Sources also told So Dramatic! that Ella was trying to “distance herself” from Domenica.
However, on August 29, Ella seemed to shut down the speculation that she and Domenica were on the outs by sharing a snap of her MAFS bestie flipping off the camera on her Instagram Story.
She then added a bed emoji, which seemed to hint at putting the rumours to bed, but fans were still suspicious.
Things got even weirder on September 3, when the duo told Daily Mail Australia they were no longer friends and had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Why did Married at First Sight‘s Domenica Calarco & Ella Ding REUNITE for an Instagram Story?
As revealed in episode 414 of the So Dramatic! podcast, sources close to the former besties called the suspiciously timed Story a “weird PR move”.
“It was something to try and squash the rumours,” one source told So Dramatic! “They’ve probably moved on from the huge blowout, and it’s Ella’s way of saying, ‘I didn’t just dump her like a bad smell’, but she did.”
A second insider shared a similar sentiment, stating the pair reunited to “shut the rumours down“.
“They hate how accurate your intel has been and how you’ve managed to discover everything, so they wanted to try to discredit you and make people question everything you’ve reported,” they dished.
“I’m certain they’re not friends. This would’ve been nothing more than a strategic PR move and an attempt for them to save face, given all of the negative publicity about them both lately.”
Sources claim Domenica and Ella ORGANISED their catch up
A third source claimed Ella organised the catch-up with her former podcast co-host.
“Ella reached out to Dom as she was going to be in Sydney. She knew it would confirm the speculation if she didn’t spend time with her,” they explained.
“She also wanted to shut down the rumours of her being a bad friend and abandoning Dom in her time of need.“
The insider concluded: “Dom was happy to meet Ella because Ella was the one who pulled away from her, but it’s clear Ella was just using her to negate the recent bad press.”
