The truth about Farmer Wants a Wife 2024 couple Andrew Coleman and Claire Saunders‘ cancelled wedding has been revealed.
On July 8, Claire shocked FWAW fans when she announced on Instagram that they’d canned their upcoming nuptials, just months after announcing their engagement in March.
The 37-year-old was vague about the decision, telling her followers that “sometimes life is hard and we all just need a little breathing space”.
Fans took this to mean that the couple had called it quits completely. Especially because Claire also quietly removed their engagement announcement from her Instagram page.
However, several sources close to Andrew and Claire have denied this is the case, as reported in episode 402 of the So Dramatic! podcast.
One man, who claimed to be Andrew’s best mate of 20 years, told host Megan Pustetto that the wedding is “postponed, not cancelled”.
“Do your research as to why, and you’ll all understand why they’ve made that decision,” he said.
The friend also asked that people be “mindful” that Andrew’s father “is not well”.
“Both [Andrew and Claire] are just everyday people thrust into the spotlight after FWAW,” he added. “As a mate of his, it was upsetting just talking to him. Can you all just give them a chance to try and get some normality in their lives and their relationship?”

One of Claire‘s best friends also confirmed that the reality TV couple are still together.
“They haven’t broken up,” they assured. “They are just taking a break and taking a bit of a breather because they have some family stuff going on. A family member is unwell, so he’s been focusing on that, and it’s been really stressful.
“Claire is staying with friends up in Darwin while Andrew is back on the farm and helping out his family.”
The source confessed they “just needed some time apart”, but clarified that “neither of them are dating or seeing other people”.
“They are technically still together and have been in contact. There was no cheating and it’s not because Claire can’t handle farm life.”
Who made the decision to call off the wedding?
Interestingly, Claire’s bestie claimed the wedding is, in fact, cancelled “for now”.
“But the door is still open for them, and they are both holding out hope they can fix things and make it work,” they said. And so are we!
“But understandably, Claire has been pretty upset by the turn of events as it was Andrew’s decision to call the wedding off.”
It comes after Claire slammed false reports about her relationship on her Instagram Story.
She reiterated that she is temporarily in Darwin “working for the dry season” and confirmed she has “not moved out” of Andrew’s Narromine home.
