Industry insiders have revealed the salaries of Australia’s biggest reality stars-turned-podcast hosts, and they make WAY more money than we expected!

Former content executive Simon Baggs told news.com.au that reality stars are worth “a load of money” in the podcasting industry.

According to Simon, some reality TV star podcast hosts can earn salaries between $1.8 and $2 million a year from ad revenue ALONE. Sheesh!

On top of that, they would also be making more dosh from brand deals, merch, appearances, paid bonus content and podcast tours.

“The networks have no power over them,” Simon added. “The networks have to beg and plead with them to stay. The tables have turned.”

Another insider told the outlet that The Bachelor’s Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne, who co-host the Life Uncut pod, earn approximately $1.8 million a year to produce their podcast and radio show. WOWZA!

During a recent episode, the duo told their listeners that Brittany makes more than her fiancé Benjamin Siegrist, as the professional footballer is tipped to make around $28,000 a week.

A third insider claimed that Married at First Sight‘s Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding once made $70,000 in one month from their controversial podcast, Sit With Us.

We guess it pays to be controversial!
