Married at First Sight Australia 2020‘s Hayley Vernon has made a shock announcement after quitting OnlyFans, and this wasn’t on our bingo cards for 2024.

In April, the former TV bride announced that she was exiting the adult industry, claiming it’d been “soul-destroying” for her.

And it looks like she’s been doing some soul-searching ever since.

On June 17, the 36-year-old took to Instagram to reveal she’d been baptised again after “finding Christ”.

“My relationship with my faith has changed every aspect of my life,” she wrote in the caption of a video of her being baptised. “There isn’t enough space or words to explain the transformative goodness of God.”

The reality star explained that “every inch of [her] life has changed for the better” since finding her faith.

“It’s by far been the best thing that’s happened to me. I would’ve called you crazy if, six months ago, you’d said I’d be here. But truth be told, there’s not been one negative. Only positive areas of improvement,” she wrote.

“Has letting go and being challenged been easy? Nope. Have I come out better for it? Absolutely.”

MAFS’ Hayley Vernon has been ‘at peace’ since embarking on her spiritual journey

Speaking to Yahoo! Lifestyle, Hayley revealed that her spiritual journey started “a few years back”.

“Over the past two years, I was leaning more into my faith and pulling away from modern spirituality,” she recalled.

“I realised that doing life my way wasn’t working. The life I had got me what I wanted regarding material possessions. But over time, it took away from me at an unseen level.”

Hayley said she “started to have peace” once she surrendered to her spiritual journey.

“I’m at peace. Every aspect of my life has gotten better,” she said.

“I’ve let go of a lot, I’ve gained even more, and I’m learning how to be the woman I was before MAFS, before trying to be someone I wasn’t in the public eye, merely to survive all the bullshit that came with the TV show.”

She then spoke about the adult industry, stating she didn’t “recommend it for any woman”.

“The glamour is not worth the isolation, the mental anguish and the negativity that follows that life,” she finished. And good for her!
