Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Andrea Thompson has opened up about her recent weight loss, revealing she’s lost 13kg since her on-screen wedding due to her battle with anxiety.
Despite being part of the show’s “oldest ever” couple, Andrea, 51, and her hubby Richard Sauerman, 62, experienced their fair share of drama.
When asked about her weight loss “secrets” during an Instagram Q&A on May 17, Andrea admitted that it all came down to the anxiety she’d experience since the marriage experiment.
“Have lost around 13kg since the wedding. A lot of that was anxiety sadly, but I have been doing gym classes for one and a half years,” she penned.
One of the former TV bride’s friends backed this up, telling Daily Mail Australia that she’d lost around 5kg during filming.
“The rest [of the weight loss] could be credited to anxiety about the show airing,” they told the outlet.

Later on in the Q&A, Andrea shut down rumours that she was dating Timothy Smith once again.
“Tim reminds me of my brother,” she said. “He’s exactly like my brother so I understand him, I get him.
“I don’t want to get intimate with someone who reminds me of my brother! So Tim and I will not be intimate, we will not kiss on the lips.” And we all knew this was fake news anyway!
