Married at First Sight Australia 2024 will jump on the “old influencer” bandwagon, with the season said to focus on its older participants.
The 11th season of the dating experiment is fast approaching, and rumour has it, it’s set to feature the show’s “oldest ever” stars — 62-year-old Richard Sauerman and Andrea Thompson, who’s in her 50s.
But don’t expect there to be any less drama!
According to Yahoo! Lifestyle, producers plan on “heroing” Richard and Andrea and “reversing stereotypes” of what fans typically expect from older participants.
“Richard arrives at his wedding on a motorbike and his relationship with Andrea is anything but a walk in the park,” an insider confessed.
The publication also said that the couple are “anything but reserved”.
In fact, they’re influencers in the making — just like their much younger co-stars!
While Andrea loves to share a glammed-up selfie, her TV husband-to-be often poses with cigarettes and motorbikes on social media.
News of older stars capitalising on reality TV fame comes after speculation that The Golden Bachelor, a senior citizen version of The Bachelor, will soon come to Australia.
