As revealed in episode 367 of the So Dramatic! podcast, new details about when Ellie and Jonathan first saw each other IRL after DMing regularly have come to light.
One contestant told So Dramatic! that Jonathan met up with Ellie on the Gold Coast when Lauren was in Perth having surgery before Homestays. Eep.
“When Lauren was having surgery, Jono got approval to go back to the Gold Coast for his dad’s birthday,” they claimed.
“Some of us were pretty sure that he met up with Ellie during that trip.” And colour us shook! So much for “just friends”…

However, another contestant claimed that the duo didn’t see each other for the first time after exchanging texts until a cast catch-up after filming Final Vows.
“Jono and Ellie first met up when the cast caught up after filming on the Gold Coast. After that, they caught up for coffee together and spent 12 hours talking,” they said.
“And that’s when things really became romantic between them.”
