ICYMI: Following her success as a fan fave, it was reported that the Byron Bay “earth mama” had been offered a role as an expert on MAFS New Zealand.

“Her role on the overseas franchise won’t be officially announced until after Easter, but an offer has been put on the table,” one source told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

However, Lucinda has denied this is the case.

In an interview with Triple M WA’s Robbie Von, she said she doesn’t believe she’s in “any place to comment on anybody’s relationship or marriage”.

“I mean, I’m not in one successfully, so I just don’t feel like I belong on an expert couch there personally. I think even if the job were offered it would probably be a no from me,” Lucinda confessed.

Married at First Sight 2024‘s Lucinda Light isn’t ready for ‘the public chopping block again’

Elaborating on why she doesn’t feel qualified for the expert gig, the 43-year-old said “MAFS comes with such criticism and commentary from the public”.

“I just don’t think I want to put myself out on the public chopping block again,” she confessed.

“It was sort of enough during the experience and look, I’ve received a lot of love, but yeah… I just think I’d really I’d be asking for critique if I thought for one second I was a relationship expert.

“At 43, I haven’t quite got it right yet!”

It comes after an insider told So Dramatic! that original rumours about Lucinda joining MAFS NZ were “put out” by Channel Nine as “feelers”.

“But she hasn’t had any offers from them.”
