A Married at First Sight Australia 2024 producer has disputed claims that Sara Mesa‘s explanation for her cheating scandal was taken out of context.
ICYMI: Eden Harper and Jayden Eynaud previously exposed Sara for catching up with her ex-boyfriend, suggesting she was “cheating” on Tim Calwell.
Tim later revealed to the cast that Sara had slept with her ex “a month before” MAFS.

Sources later told So Dramatic! that the ex-boyfriend the bride hooked up with prior to the show was a different partner whom she caught up with during filming.
They also said that while it appeared that Sara was fumbling for excuses when confronted about sleeping with an ex while he had a girlfriend, the confession was taken “completely out of context”.
However, as reported in episode 363 of the So Dramatic! podcast, this isn’t the case.
Married at First Sight 2024 omitted a ‘lot of horrible things’ from participants
“I worked on the show. It was not edited out of context at all. This is false,” the MAFS insider told host Megan Pustetto.
“No one is a victim of a bad edit. I was a transcriber on the show, which means that I literally transcribed every single thing that was filmed, including things that were not televised.”
They explained: “Everything is quite literally exactly as portrayed. And I believe every other person who participated in this season would attest to the fact that she has been portrayed fairly and accurately.”
The source then claimed producers “left out a lot of horrible things [Sara] did”.
“She is not the victim of a bad edit… In fact, I think she should be grateful for the stuff that they left out,” they said.
They added, “The same goes with Jack [Dunkley] and Tori [Adams]. And please, do tell!
MAFS participants claim Sara Mesa is in ‘damage control’
According to one of Sara’s co-stars, she “walked out of the dinner party because she couldn’t handle the heat of being questioned”.
“She was clambering over her words trying to quickly put a story together, but as she was questioned, she started to get confused,” they said.
“If it were a different ex [to the one she slept with], she would have addressed it at the table, right?”
The source claimed that Sara was “well aware” her ex-partner had a girlfriend.
“They were sleeping together for years while he was with someone else,” they explained. “That actually came out in filming as well; surprised they didn’t use it, to be honest.
“She’s obviously in damage control. How many exes do you sleep with or ‘stay friends’ with?”
