Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Collins Christian and Natalie Parham were allegedly “removed” from the experiment, contrary to what played out on screen.

ICYMI: Natalie wrote “leave” at the first Commitment Ceremony of the season, but her husband wrote “stay”. This means, as per the experiment’s rules, the couple must stay for another week to work on their marriage.

However, during the February 12 episode, Natalie appeared to call it quits for good. She claimed she couldn’t deal with Collins and his “surface-level performance”.

Sources have since claimed she and Collins were essentially pushed out of the show to protect the participants.

“The rules and premise of the show are irrelevant if they compromise a participant’s wellbeing or mental health, and ESA [producers Endemol Shine Australia] take their duty of care seriously,” one insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

Okay, and where was this energy in previous seasons…?

“Natalie had already tried to quit at the first dinner party, but was talked into remaining until the first commitment ceremony to ‘see their storyline through’,” they continued.

“When it then became apparent she would have to stay another week, bosses stepped in and removed her and Collins from the show as soon as they could wrap it up on camera.”

The source added:  “The experiment is an emotional rollercoaster as it is, but factor in Natalie’s vulnerability from her lack of relationship experience prior to filming and the grief she was experiencing following her father’s very recent death and she was in no state to continue production.”

Collins Christian was ‘VERY BITTER’ about leaving Married at First Sight 2024

Ahead of the couple’s MAFS exit, sources told So Dramatic! that Collins was “so mad” their time on the show came to an end.

“He made it very clear he wasn’t happy about it,” one co-star spilled. “He obviously wanted to stay on the show for as long as possible to boost his profile and get a career out of it. But obviously, that’s not going to happen when you leave in week one.

“He won’t even talk to Nat now. He wants nothing to do with her. It’s quite heartless.”

It comes as MAFS 2023 groom Jesse Burford called for “justice” for his buddy Collins in a resurfaced, since-deleted Instagram comment.

“Collins is my boy,” Jesse penned back in January. “He said he was horrified and saddened with his time on the show.

“He was railroaded, set up and backstabbed by producers and the experts.”
