Two-time Love Island star Lucinda Strafford has revealed that she was never supposed to appear on the Australian version of the hit dating show.
Lucinda first rose to reality TV fame when she arrived in the Love Island UK villa as a bombshell in 2021.
After still not having any luck finding love, Lucinda then appeared on Love Island Australia 2023 and found a bae in Kiwi Islander Zac Nunns (though whether they’re truly still together is up for debate!).
However, the 23-year-old has since confessed Love Island Australia wasn’t on the cards for her.
“Not many people know this at all, but I was actually supposed to go on Love Island Games,” Lucinda said in a “get-ready-with-me” video on TikTok.

Lucinda continued: “It actually wasn’t until I… got a DM from Love Island Australia and they said that they really liked me on Love Island UK and they really wanted to get a Zoom call in with me.”
She said the next day she met with Aussie producers via Zoom and they “got on really well”.

While Lucinda entered Love Island Australia early on in the piece, she said producers originally wanted her to “go in at the very, very end”.
“Basically just to stir things up and leave,” she explained, adding she was a “bit gutted” because she wanted to find love.

However, producers soon got in touch with her management. They said that Lucinda “blew their socks off” and they wanted her as the first bombshell of the season.
She confessed that the experience was very daunting, but she “had the most amazing time ever”.
“I honestly wouldn’t have changed it for the world.”
