Married at First Sight Australia 2024‘s Michael Felix may be ready to meet the one but will the experiment bring him Mr Right?

For the first time in Aussie MAFS history, the 11th season will feature its first set of gay grooms, with Victorian salesman Michael being one of them.

According to his official show bio, Michael — also known as Mike — considers himself “handsome, extroverted and sassy”. And that’s the energy we need on MAFS!

The 34-year-old is passionate about standing up for his beliefs and “will do anything for those he loves”.

Unsurprisingly, Michael, who grew up in Ohio in the US, is close to his mum, whom he says made him the man he is today.

What is Michael Felix looking for on Married at First Sight?

Considering his upbringing, Michael is keen to meet a man who can match his confidence and family values.

Plus, being “tall, dark and handsome” doesn’t hurt either!

In the past, Michael —a Senior Sales Advisor at Tesla — has struggled to let his walls down in relationships out of fear of being hurt.

After five years as a single man, he’s over the dating scene (aren’t we all!) and is ready to settle down, hoping to become a father and raise his own family.

Michael Felix’s Married at First Sight match QUITS before their wedding

In case you missed it, Michael was set to wed fellow gay groom Simon Flocco on MAFS 2024.

However, Michael was left high and dry after his expert-appointed bae QUIT the show ahead of their wedding, despite having filmed his intro and the buck’s night!

The Adelaide-based restaurant manager reportedly “ruined” the series’ planned storylines after he “kept having doubts” and “[expressed] his discomfort”.

‘Producers, hungry for a groundbreaking narrative, persuaded him to stick around. That’s why he was at the bucks [night],” one insider explained.

“He kept telling them that he didn’t feel comfortable about certain things but was eventually talked into staying.”

Alas, he fled before he could tie the knot.

Simon told Daily Mail Australia, “MAFS wasn’t what I thought I wanted at this point in my life, that’s all”.

“I just felt bad for whoever they set me up with. I did initially leave, but they managed to coax me back [before leaving again]… Gotta look out for myself.”

Poor Michael!
