Survivors, ready? Australian Survivor is returning to our screens in 2024 and we are SO keen.
In October, Channel Ten announced its programming lineup for 2024 and the hardcore adventure series was at the top of the list.
So, what do we know about Australian Survivor 2024?
What is the theme for Australian Survivor 2024?
When it was announced that Australian Survivor was renewed for 2024, its epic new theme of Titans vs Rebels was also unveiled.
But what’s that, we hear you ask?
According to Channel Ten, the 12-person Titan team is comprised of “head honchos” and “over-achievers”. Meanwhile, the Rebels are “mavericks” who “don’t play by the rules”.
Who is the host?
Aussie TV royalty Jonathan LaPaglia is back at the helm of the survival series.
It will be his eighth year fronting the series since its inaugural season in 2016.
Where is Australian Survivor 2024 filmed?
For the third time, the contestants will outwit, outplay and outlast each other in Samoa.
The beachside location was the backdrop for Australian Survivor: Heroes vs Villains 2023 and the 2016 season.
Who are the contestants?
Daniel Monoghan, Senior Vice President, Content and Programming, Paramount ANZ, previously told TV Tonight that ”we’ll probably go for an all-new cast in 2024.”
“I think for our franchise in Australia, with the cast being so much bigger than the US and a longer period — we do need to introduce new faces to keep that freshness,” he explained.
And it seems they’ve stuck to their guns because on December 19, Ten dropped a fresh pic of the upcoming Australian Survivor cast.

When was Australian Survivor 2024 filmed?
Per New Idea, industry insiders revealed filming began in late July 2023 and concluded in mid-September.
When does Australian Survivor 2024 start?
Australian Survivor 2024 was originally announced with a February start date.
However, this has since changed, with the series kicking off a week earlier on January 29 at 7:30 pm on Channel Ten and 10Play.
