The Block 2023 cast is reportedly “furious” over Channel Nine’s decision to air the controversial season overseas.

While it’s been over two months since the 19th season wrapped on Aussie screens, the renovation show has since been picked up in New Zealand, South Africa and the UK.

It’s also expected to be sold in other countries across the globe as time goes on.

According to one Yahoo! Lifestyle source, a number of the contestants are furious that this is happening. Particularly because they weren’t notified of the show’s overseas broadcast.

“They thought they could return to their normal lives and put the show’s devastating result behind them, but their social media is still going off with hate and negative comments,” the insider shared.

“No one had notified the cast, which has left them reliving all the drama again and again.”

The Block cast has full access to their social media during overseas broadcast

Unlike when The Block was airing in Australia, the contestants have full autonomy over their social media. This means they were privy to and able to interact with troll comments.

During its local broadcast, Channel Nine had control of Blockheads’ accounts and could monitor backlash from fans.

As such, 2023 “villain” Kristy Beames won’t be holding back on her responses to haters.

“There are five sides of a story, and what audiences saw wasn’t always accurate or correct,” she told the outlet.

“I was nice when it played in Australia, but the gloves are off. Game on, moles!”

Kristy’s comments come after it was revealed she and fellow The Block “mean girl” Leah Milton could have a podcast in the pipeline. And at least there’s a silver lining somewhere!
