Love Triangle‘s Lili Jean Berry has spilled some explosive behind-the-scenes tea from Season Two of the hit dating show and she’s doing God’s work!
From forbidden hook-ups to contestants getting the boot, the spicy reality show has served enough drama to satiate us for an entire year.
Luckily for us, there’s more where that came from ‘coz during her explosive tell-all in episode 331 of the So Dramatic! podcast, Lili dropped some HUGE bombshells that will leave you reeling.
Love Triangle‘s Lili Jean Berry spills the tea on texting week
If you were wondering how texting week works, we’ve got you covered.
According to Lili, who appeared on the show as a suitor, the cast were given separate phones with an app called “Modern Dating”, which they used to contact each other.
However, the texts on the show were fully monitored and producers could control when the texts were received by the singles.
“When you send a text message, it goes into a holding zone and [producers] release it for you,” she told host Megan Pustetto. And it’s giving parental lock!
Lili also explained that the singles were filmed whilst texting their matches, whereas the suitors were texting during their everyday lives.
As such, Lili felt disconnected from her match, Sulei Hunt, because he wasn’t responding frequently enough.
However, she realised this was because he had a “producer in his face”, whereas she was just texting freely whenever she had the chance. Makes sense!

Many of you may remember Sulei freaking out after he received 22 messages from Lili.
According to the queen herself, this was due to the character limit on their app.
In reality, she’d sent one big paragraph to Sulei but was forced to break it up into bite-sized texts.
“I did send 22 messages because he’d gotten no context or depth from me from the first day… I was trying to be super vulnerable,” she explained.

Once Sulei had chosen to pursue things with Lisa Valentina at the end of the texting week, Lili decided it was time to give him an Insta stalk.
After looking him up, she quickly realised he wasn’t her type. However, she was excited to be Sulei and Lisa’s “live-in love doctor” when she joined the show. How selfless!

Lili also spilled some tea about her co-star Sam Fisher, admitting she thought he’d joined the show with the intention of being a HUGE villain.
Despite stating he’d slept with his match Emily Ryder, Lili confirmed that this never happened.
When asked why Sam would consider making himself look SO bad, Lili proposed that perhaps he’d done it to boost his social media following with his not-so-secret girlfriend, Hannah.
“His TikTok relationship has exploded now, yeah?” she joked. She’s got a point!

Lili also spilled that the girls in Sam’s house, Emily and Sophie Peacock, had NO idea that he was seeing Hannah during filming until the series aired.
ICYMI: Producers graced us with forbidden footage of Sam having a racy phone call with Hannah during filming. When confronted about it later, Sam told the cameras that Hannah was just someone who was “minding his cat”.
“We all spent a night out in Sydney two weeks before the show aired. [Sam] was talking about his girlfriend that night, saying how she’d made him a better man.
“Even I believed that,” Lili laughed. And don’t worry babes, he’s gaslit us all at some point!
“It just doesn’t make sense. Hannah was NEVER minding his cat. She lives in the UK,” Lili said upon reflection.
“Sam told me he’d met [Hannah] at the end of August, just after filming. But we all saw it on the show,” she said, speculating that perhaps the couple had been plotting the whole time for a bit of exposure. Interesting…
Love Triangle‘s Lili speaks out about her ‘SECRET’ boyfriend
Whilst on the topic of forbidden romance, Lili also addressed rumours that she had a “secret” partner during filming.
“I was in a bit of a situationship [which I ended] the week I found out I was going on Love Triangle,” Lili recalled.
“He lives in Perth and I live in Melbourne so it was never going to eventuate into something. It was more of an if we saw each other, we’d just sleep together type of situation.”
Lili confessed that she was “very much in love with him” until she “ended everything”.
However, things between the two briefly sparked up again once she realised nothing would eventuate between her and Sulei.
Unlike Sam, Lili stated that she was honest with Sulei about her “secret” partner from the start. And reality stars (ahem: Harrison Boon) take note!
Lili spills what really went down during Alan and Sophie’s final decision
During the show, Alan Wallace pursued things with Sam’s match Sophie.
However, according to Lili, things didn’t exactly pan out that way, because Sophie actually REJECTED Alan (as previously revealed by So Dramatic!). Ouch.
“Notice when you watch it and she says ‘I’d love to see you again’, you’re not watching her speak in that moment,” Lili pointed out.
She then explained that they’d probably chopped up some audio from the week before when Alan asked Sophie on a date and used that to paint a false narrative. Juicy!
“[Producers] had no positive endings, so they had to fabricate some,” Lili laughed. But TBH, we kinda prefer the SPICY edition!
Love Triangle‘s Lili explains the Jacinta, Sheree and Nemo saga
One Love Triangle insider told So Dramatic! that Jacinta Matthews allegedly “bullied” and “queer-shamed” her matches Nemo and Sheree.
As far as Lili was aware, things weren’t necessarily THAT “brutal”.
“I know that Nemo continued to ask for space and he didn’t get any and that’s what ultimately led to the end of them,” she said.
“[Jacinta] wanted to work on things [then and there]. I don’t know if I’d call that bullying, but I understand why Nemo was so defeated.”
Sheree, on the other hand, was “really uncomfortable from the get-go”.
“She only stayed in the house for a few days with Jacinta and there was no connection with them at all. She stayed at home because she only lived 15 minutes away,” Lili spilled.
“Sheree has spoken to me about things that led to her being uncomfortable in the house. But these aren’t my stories to share.” And Sheree, we need you to spill the tea STAT!
Lili reveals that she had a positive experience with the show’s production
Unlike Sam Martin, who accused producers of treating him like he was in high school, Lili said she had an “amazing” experience with the production team.
Although they were filming 12 to 15 hours each day, Lili claimed that the whole experience was a blast.
“We had a house AP (assistant producer) that would stay in our house overnight. Even on days we weren’t filming, they’d be there from 9 pm, which was our curfew time, until 6 am the next morning,” she explained.
She added: “The AP’s would fight over who would come to our house because we were so fun.” And we’d love to be in Lili’s house too!
