Big Brother Australia 2023‘s Louis Phillips has revealed one of the mind games the producers played on the contestants during filming.

Much like Love Island, Big Brother housemates are segmented from the outside world and never know what time of day it is. And according to Louis, producers would go the extra mile to confuse the cast.

“If we were going between challenges, I would pass a producer and say, ‘Good morning,'” the 24-year-old told TV Week.

“It was clearly the morning, but they’d say, ‘Good afternoon,’ and you’d spend the rest of the day trying to work out what time it was. It would really muck with your head.” And if it were us, we’d be smuggling in our watches!

Big Brother’s Louis Phillips says a DIVIDE is brewing between the girls and boys

The social media manager then spilled that a huge divide rocks the house when intruder Oli expresses interest in Minee Marx, whom Louis was getting to know.

“I felt like I was in school again,” he said.

“Everything was going really well and then the girl I had a crush on turned against me completely. Some feelings came back that really took me back [to school].” Ouch.

According to Louis, this incident caused a huge shift in dynamics, with people becoming way more strategic.

“It felt like Lord Of The Flies,” Louis explained. “You’ll see as we go further into the series, but it was absolutely mental. Brutal even.” And we can’t wait!
