Real Housewives of Sydney’s Krissy Marsh and Nicole O’Neil reportedly don’t think Kate Adams is “worthy enough” to be on the show.

After RHOS was canned for being “too extreme” back in 2018, we thought we were in for a reboot reminiscent of Antiques Roadshow.

However, the new season has proven to be as catty as ever, with So Dramatic! previously reporting that the leading ladies were distinctively split into two camps: The oldies and the newbies!

Now, as reported in episode 328 of the So Dramatic! podcast, the cast is further divided as renowned vet and newcomer Kate continues to be ostracised by the group.

“They had an issue with Kate because they felt like she doesn’t have the social status or the husband,” one source explained. “Krissy and Nicole were very vocal about that.

“They looked down on her because she didn’t meet their idea of what being a housewife is. They were basically snobs to her.”

The insider added that Krissy and Nicole felt that “being married is the be-all and end-all”. As such, singleton Kate was out of place in the group.

They continued: “They have been running around Eastern Suburbs calling Kate ‘low-class’.

“It was very obvious Kate didn’t fit into that and they didn’t like that. Kate is very progressive and socialistic, while Krissy, Nicole and Victoria [Montano] are the opposite end of the spectrum and are old school values and come from old prestigious money.”

Real Housewives of Sydney stars thought Kate Adams would be a ‘pushover’

Apparently, some of Kate’s castmates struggled to understand why the 41-year-old “didn’t want to be like them”.

“Kate couldn’t stand them because they were constantly trying to uphold the upper-class society’s rules,” we’re told.

“They thought she was going to be a pushover, not, as they said, ‘a pain in the neck’. They didn’t expect her to stand up for herself like she did and challenge them, nor did they like it.

“Kate did it because she hates society’s rules. She wanted to represent the women in society who aren’t housewives and challenge their outdated views.”

As such, Kate remains very much “an island for a while and had no friends in the cast except Caroline [Gaultier]“.

However, even Caroline attempted to get Kate to tone it down and “play nice with the other women”.

“She said, ‘We all have a lot of respect for you and what you’re doing but the reason no one really wants to stick their neck out for you is because no one wants to be you’,” our source recalled.

“Meaning, that no one wanted to be in Kate’s position, which was on the outs with the other women. Which was hurtful as Kate stuck her neck out for Caroline and had her back all season.”

Dynamics shift again as housewives side with Kate Adams

The insider said that about halfway through Real Housewives of Sydney, the group dynamics shift once again.

“It ends up being the housewives who come from old prestigious money with outdated views versus the new money housewives with progressive views,” they explained. “Or you could say, the entitled verse the not entitled.

Terry [Biviano] eventually comes to Kate’s rescue and defends her and basically calls them out for being bitches telling them that they need to stop piling on Kate.”

They added: “She then jumps ship to Kate’s island and the others (Sally [Obermeder] and Caroline) eventually jump ship too.”

In the end, Kate gets “vindicated and validated” and phew, thank God!
