Kyle Sandilands has revealed his eye-watering Australian Idol salary on live radio and holy moly, man’s rolling in it.

While the 2023 reboot of the once-hit ’00s show was somewhat of a flop, Kyle — who, BTW, was fired from his judging stint on the OG series — is still copping a massive paycheck.

Chatting to musician Dean Lewis on a recent broadcast of The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Kyle complained about how time-consuming TV work is before Dean asked how much he was getting paid.

Dean also wondered why Kyle bothered taking on the Australian Idol gig if it was such a punish.

“Listen, it’s clearly over a million dollars for three months’ work,” the shock jock eventually said of his salary. “You’d be a fool not to do it.”

Kyle then confessed he was unsure whether he should publicly discuss his pay.

“I don’t know how much they’re paying the others [judges] so maybe I shouldn’t have said it,” he said.

Dean replied: “That is a lot of money, that’s actually epic.” Ain’t that the truth!

The Australian Idol judging panel is rejigged for 2024 season

News of Kyle’s whopping paycheck comes after it was revealed the Australian Idol judging panel is getting an overhaul for 2024.

Last year, Kyle was joined by Amy Shark, Meghan Trainor and Harry Connick Jr.

However, Meghan and Harry aren’t returning, with OG judge Marcia Hines rejoining the panel.

There are also whispers that US superstar Adam Lambert will round out the quad.

Fingers crossed!
