Hamish Blake and Andy Lee are reportedly “disgusted” over how their former assistant, Eliza Paschke, is being treated by her co-stars on The Block 2023.
The mounting drama on the 19th season of the renovation show has been cause for concern for fans, with many reporting the series to the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) for featuring “bullying” and “harassment”.
Now, according to Yahoo! Lifestyle, Channel Nine contractees Hamish and Andy aren’t impressed with what’s being showcased on the show. Namely, how their former assistant of 10 years is being implicated.
According to an insider, Eliza was overheard telling someone at an industry event in October that the radio duo is “concerned the show has lost its way” as “they don’t condone bullying or promoting bad behaviour”.
“Hamish and Andy were happy to give their blessing to see Eliza take part in The Block, but they made it pretty clear they would not get involved with the show or the show’s storylines,” the source alleged.
“Yet it would seem they feel enough is enough, with Eliza telling the cast and crew that their famous friends have stepped in.”
The insider added: “Their claim is that Hamish and Andy have switched off the show and have made complaints to senior executives.”

Yahoo! Lifestyle also reported that Eliza’s sister and teammate Liberty was overheard telling her to stop name-dropping Hamish and Andy.
When the conversation about their decision to stop watching the series, Liberty reportedly “stormed off”.
“The boys would have access to Nine Network executives and it wouldn’t be too hard to make their opinions heard,” the source said.
“Whether the network would actually take action is not really known.”
News of the radio icons’ distaste with the current season of The Block comes after So Dramatic! revealed Eliza used to live with Andy and his partner, Rebecca Harding.
