SAS Australia 2023‘s Anthony Mundine will be scoring some goals in Base Camp so his fellow recruits better watch out!

The former professional boxer is a household name in the world of athletics, holding the WBA super-middleweight title twice between 2003 and 2008. He was also one of the highest-paid players in the National Rugby League (NRL).

The former rugby player was also the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Person of the Year in 2000, so it’s safe to say he’s a bit of an icon.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the 48-year-old returned to rugby on July 22. This was his second game since he retired from the NRL in 2000 and he played for his local team Kogarah Cougar.

According to Daily Mail, the athlete entered the wellness sector back in March 2022 as the face of IsoWhey’s Ramadan Shake. 

He’s also happily married to Danielle Mundine and the pair share five children Jada, Rahim, Malik, Anthony Jnr and Ayishah.

These days, Anthony uses his Instagram account to speak out about important issues, including the upcoming Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice referendum.

He also posts about his good ol’ sporting days and we’re sure he’ll be adding some SAS snaps to his grid very soon!
