Married at First Sight Australia 2023‘s Melinda Willis has said goodbye to her co-star and former employee Caitlin McConville in a heartfelt Instagram post.

Melinda, 32, hired Caitlin, 28, to work at her beauty parlour after the two became close during the marriage experiment.

And on September 23, the beauty CEO wrote a gushing tribute to her bestie, who was moving on to pursue her “makeup dreams”.

“A bittersweet day in the salon today saying goodbye to this absolute Queen, as she spreads her beautiful wings and moves to the Gold Coast to pursue her makeup dreams,” the former TV bride wrote alongside a crying emoji.

“For those of you who don’t know, I met [Caitlin] on MAFS last year and we started working together shortly after filming.”

Melinda added: “We went from just the two of us working in a little rented room inside a gym to our own big, private and busy salon with seven staff!

“I honestly couldn’t have done this without Caitlin’s help, constant support and encouragement to step outside my comfort zone and take the jump. Thank you for being the light I needed, right at the time I needed it.”

The reality star finished off her post wishing Caitlin “all the best” for her “future endeavours”.

“You will be so missed, but the door will always be open for you. Love you!”

Caitlin took to the comments section to respond to Melinda’s kind words.

“Thank you for supporting me, encouraging me to grow and believe in myself and for the endless laughs and memories!” she wrote.

“This is just the start of a big beautiful journey for you and I am so grateful I was able to be a part of the beginning.” And we’re not crying, you are!
